Why should grants be important to investors?

Non-Dilutive Support is Important

We have listed a selection of the grants available from Innovation Norway, to provide a snapshot of what is on offer for Norwegian health companies at different stages of growth.

Many countries offer dilution free, or low-dilution grants to emerging companies, often referred to as ‘soft-funding’. Norway is particularly proactive around this and has several grants available from various funding bodies.

As an investor, being aware of the many available grants is important to both assist companies with their funding challenges, as well as gauge how aware, proactive and resourceful the company’s management team is.

Local funding is an important accelerant and assistor for new companies in Norway, but there are many other EU grants also available, which are becoming more and more crucial in helping companies survive until they reach the market. This is particularly relevant in the health sector where there is a longer path to market and often increased funding requirements compared to other sectors.
